Central Maine Urology is directed by Robert R. Kester, M.D., who is a board-certified urologist in Lewiston, Maine. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of urological diseases and conditions. Dr. Kester and his staff combine clinical services and expertise with state-of-the-art therapies.
Dr. Kester diagnoses and treats all general urological disorders and he has special interest and expertise in the following:
- Bladder control problems and incontinence, in men and women: evaluation including urodynamics testing, and treatment including medical, surgical, and biofeedback therapy
- Medical, surgical, and minimally-invasive treatment (MIT) of prostate enlargement. MIT treatments are office-based, and done under intravenous sedation.
- Kidney stone management: medical (preventative), surgical (including laser), and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL)
- No-needle no-scalpel vasectomy
- Diagnosis and treatment of urological cancers, including prostate, bladder, and kidney
- Male erectile dysfunction
- Male infertility
